Other Issues Minutes of 02/19/09 Meeting: Attendance: Members - CV, MM, JK, JKP, MPG, CB, JM Others – Stephanie Almirola, Mrs. Manjarrez 1. Minutes of 02/12/2009 meeting approved 2. Survey Review and Finalization – No discussion conducted; agreed that survey would be emailed for commenting and further editing. Islander News will not be able to run the survey until the Mar. 12th edition. Sample testing of the survey, by family and friends, to be conducted late next week. 3. Research & Information Overviews - Dual Enrollment (Charles); U of Miami student and former CGSHS IB graduate, Stephanie Almirola, was a guest for the discussion and shared her experiences and views on IB, Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment. 4. Other Issues – Next week’s meeting will be on WEDNESDAY, Feb. 25th at 7:00 p.m. and will be special presentation and discussion on the IB program hosted by Sylvia Cuesta, IB coordinator at CGSHS. Stephanie Almirola has agreed to participate in our task force as a group member. |
